Creating a high performance website that responds quickly and works the same for every visitor, on whatever computer or browser, is the process of Web Development; taking the visual and functional designs and coding them into an intuitive, easy to use, responsive site.
Development is about making a site consistent, usable by the able-bodied user, the less able, the deaf, the blind and the colour blind. Conformance to standards is at the heart of this work, with standards and technologies changing constantly. The challenges of making a site easy to use, both for the visitor and for the site operator are also executed here.
Web Development is evident at Orchard Day Nursery. The changing colours of the navigation bar are intended to make it more childlike, in addition we engineered the site in such a manner that the owner can now upload his own changes to its content.
For the White Lion Hotel an online Check Availability accommodation enquiry form was required, with extensive validation of the form's content prior to submission. The site is brought to life with changing header images using Flash™ technology. For the Newbury Fringe Festival creating additional interest by presenting different images each time a visitor reaches the site or revisites a particular page was a key part of the development phase.
